HVAC-R Certification and Training Program

Program in Development
The information below reflects CAST's planned HVAC-R program. Program details are prospective and may change before enrollment opens.

CAST's HVAC-R Training Program is being developed to give students a practical foundation in residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Through classroom instruction and hands-on training, students will learn how HVAC-R systems work, how their major components operate together, and how to approach basic maintenance, testing, and diagnostics.

Designed with working adults in mind, the program consists of 30 three-hour classes held once per week in the evening. No previous HVAC experience is required. Training begins with the fundamentals and progressively builds toward electrical systems, refrigeration, maintenance, safety, and real-world service skills.
